The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor

The Monitor was responsible for holding government and its agencies to account for implementing the family violence reform, following the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor (FVRIM) and office have concluded its work as of 31 May 2023

The FVRIM’s monitoring of the implementation of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence concluded on 31 December 2022.

The Monitor would like to thank everyone who contributed to the monitoring and legislative review reports. The Monitor has valued the collaborative and constructive relationships developed with government and sector stakeholders. Your input has made a real difference to our work in monitoring the family violence reforms.

What happens next

The Monitor’s reports were provided to the Premier, the Minister for Prevention of Family Violence and the heads of all Victorian government agencies responsible for the implementation of the family violence reforms for consideration. The reports will continue to inform reform planning and implementation during future stages of the family violence reform agenda.
